Moving Around in Uppsala
Local Public Transport
UL is responsible for public transit in the city of Uppsala and the surrounding county. The closest bus stop to IFU Arena is Lagerlöfsgatan, located just outside the venue. It is served by line 3 to and from the city center and central station, and line 1 circling the entire city. Note that bus stop Ferlinsgatan is also only a 900 m walk away, served by line 2 from other destinations in central Uppsala. See the UL website for information on bus tickets, routes, and schedules. Tickets are most easily bought in the UL app, but can also be purchased via credit cards on board buses (but not on board trains).
We expect to run additional express buses directly between the central station and IFU Arena to complement the UL city buses. More information will follow.
Scooters / Biking
Electric scooters and biking are a great way to move around the city and avoid the bus congestion expected before and after the competition day. There are up to 4500 electric scooters available for hire in Uppsala, and using the well developed bike lane infrastructure, you can reach IFU Arena from central Uppsala in about ten minutes. Make sure to park your scooter or bike in the designated areas outside IFU Arena to avoid blocking paths and entrances.
Walking
IFU Arena is located about 3 km or a 35-minute walk north of central Uppsala. The best walking path from IFU Arena to the central station and city center will be clearly marked to make sure you don’t get lost!
