FAQ & Contact

We have collected answers to some frequently asked questions in this FAQ list. You can find the contact information of the organizing team below.

FAQ

Q: Why are there separate tickets to watch the finals?
A: Due to the fire safety regulations in the arena we need to be able to limit the number of people in the main hall at peak hours. Separate tickets for the main hall enable each spectator to choose the way they want to watch the finals, and ensures that each seat is filled by someone that is excited to watch rather than leaving chairs empty.

Q: If I don’t have a finals ticket, where can I watch the finals?
A: If you have an entry ticket or competitor badge, but not a finals ticket, you can join the watch-party in Hall F, where the livestream with audio will be broadcasted on a large screen.

Q: I changed my mind about volunteering, can I unregister as a volunteer?
A: If you applied to volunteer before November 22nd and used the pre-registration perk you cannot unregister as a volunteer without unregistering from the competition. If you did not register using the pre-registration perk you can unregister as a volunteer, but you will then not get any of the perks associated with being a volunteer.

Q: I have never competed before. Can this be my first competition?
A: No. You must already have a qualifying time from a WCA competition in order to register. Please see the qualification page for per-event qualifying times.

Q: Where can I get an official qualification time?
A: Any result achieved at a WCA sanctioned competition before 2027-05-23 can be used to qualify. Note however that registration is divided into phases and may fill at an earlier date.

Q: Can I get a visa invitation letter?
A: We are able to assist with visa invitation letters to registered competitors on request via the contact form. The list of countries whose citizens need a visa can be found on the Swedish Government’s website. Information regarding visas and visa-free stays can be found on the Swedish Migration Agency’s website. For information on how to contact or apply at a specific embassy or consulate, please refer to swedenabroad.se.

Q: When will the prize pool be announced?
A: We expect to announce the prize pool and prize distribution in the months leading up to the competition. Tax will be deducted on any medalist earnings.

Q: Will there be Warm Up competitions before the MoYu WCA World Championship 2027?
A: We expect for there to be warm up competition(s) in a nearby Nordic or Baltic country during the weekend before the MoYu WCA World Championship 2027. More information will be added as soon as said competition(s) are confirmed and announced.

Q: What will the format be for the MoYu Nations Cup?
A: Details about the format, teams and registration are expected in the months leading up to the competition.

Q: Can I use cash at IFU Arena?
A: Cash is not accepted at IFU Arena. It is in fact very common for businesses and services not to accept cash as a form of payment in Sweden. Hence a debit or credit card, or any form of contactless payment, is highly recommended during a trip to Sweden.

Q: Can my company/organisation sponsor this event?
A: We are open to taking sponsorships, please contact us to discuss any details further.
